Helping lab workers feel confident and safe on a daily basis
Founded in 2007, ScotBio is a Biotechnology company producing and supplying clean and natural solutions for food, cosmetics, textiles and pharmaceuticals.
The Problem
We often had individuals working alone for prolonged periods of time in the laboratory setting and wanted to ensure that if anything happened to them and no one else was around, help could be provided as quickly as possible.
The Solution
We opted for Pick Protection’s PG Smart app and PG Click device which work together.
Despite some initial reluctance, by working together with Pick’s Customer Success team to provide training, we soon had employees feeling more confident about pro-actively using the solution on an everyday basis.
The pro-activeness of the ‘time at risk’ feature means we don’t need to have a staff member check in on our employees regularly, and if needed, they can simply check the PG Cloud portal to see which employees have a time at risk running.
The PG Cloud platform is also very easy and straightforward, allowing us to track the regularity of high-risk events and marry this with any accident reports, enabling us to continue to improve our health and safety.
The Outcome
Feedback has been that individuals feel more at ease knowing if they have any issues, they can use the app to get help fast. Pick Protection’s solutions allow us to have staff unsupervised for prolonged periods of time whilst working with high-risk equipment without having to regularly phone other staff members to check in.
