The Problem

We are a charity and as part of our ongoing Health & Safety commitment to staff, we identified the need to protect many of our staff who are in a lone working situation. Some of our clients are vulnerable with challenging behaviours and staff had to consider in their risk assessments how best to protect themselves in these situations.

Whilst they used protocols such as buddy lists and whereabouts checkers, there was still a sense that there were gaps in the process that couldn’t be filled by traditional methods.


The Solution

Groundwork chose to provide staff with the standalone device to comply with risk assessments. I really like the solution as it is unobtrusive, easy to use and does not need in-depth training. The team were very happy with the training and the concept of the device. Pick Protection's customer portal is also simple to use and self-explanatory.


The Outcome

I would recommend Pick Protection's solutions. Of all the products we looked at, I feel this was the most flexible and certainly the best value for money.


The pricing was transparent which is very important to me as when procuring services and goods it can be really difficult trying to actually break down the various offers and services into a definitive price.
